Pulisic’s premiere

Christian Pulisic plays the best phase in his career. The 18 years old American international scored or assisted in almost every game in the past weeks. For his German club Borussia Dortmund, he just made his first goal in the European Champions-League. In the round of sixteen rematch against Benfica Lisbon on Wednesday, when Dortmund won 4:0, he was one of the best players on the field. Pulisic came into play really fast and made an assist to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a header after a corner of Conzalo Castro in the fourth minute.

A pretty good start in a game that fox sports later called the best of his career. Instead of playing of a right winger, he started as a striker next to Aubameyang and was one of the most active players. Pulisic and Dortmund combined and attacked the Benfica defense very fast in the beginning.

And even if he did not hat that much action during a long time in the first half, with his header out of almost 50 feet he had the first Dortmund chance after 30 minutes without a shoot on target. And he started even stronger in the second half. After 59 minutes, Lukas Piszczek assisted Pulisic who made a lumper above Lisbon goalkeeper Ederson scored the 2:0 and rewarded himself for his pleasant performance.

The 18 years old men is now the youngest Borussia Dortmund player who has ever scored in the Champions-League and is the seventh American at all. And even if Aubameyang scored three goals this match, Christian Pulisic still made an impressive performance and now plays in quarterfinal.
